coldness in summer..
Salamun 'alayk..
Something is not right in me.. Unfortunately the causes remain mystery..
What happened actually?
I started to keep my distance from my friends..my medic friends..my mentor friends..my teammate friends..my used-to-be bedmate friends..
I started to keep silence during the free time in class and all the way walking home..also they could see my smiles no more..
I started to think bad about them, whilst I know they are trying to help me..and it ruins my whole emotion..perhaps for them too..
I tend to escape whenever I see them from 1 mile away in front of me..I neglect them indeed..
On top of my critical time, why is this misery happening to me?

sorry, i'm just an amateur
salamun 'alayk...
I'm living in Cairo currently. Do u know where on earth this Cairo is? And do u know for how long I've been here? Uh, not forgotten, what kinda language do the local people use?
Haha.
The answers are:~
1) go Google.
2) I'm in my 2nd year of studies.
3) Arabic.
What I'm trying to say here is, I still can't speak Arabic well, urgh!
Arabic is the most spectacular language in this world..it is the language of people in Jannah..it is the language used by Allah to His messenger Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), therefore, it becomes the language of our manual book throughout all epoch ; Al Quran Al Kareem..it is the most beautiful language in the world..I can't describe how wonderful it is, but I know it really is..perhaps u can ask the experts..
Basically, here in Egypt (and most of the Arabian countries), the arabic language is divided into two categories:
1) fushah (usually used in official letter, its originality came from the Quranic verses)
2) amiyah (in everyday life dialog among the local people, plus, i manage to survive in it)
Both of them are different in pronunciation and terms.
Since that I do not have any basic in arabic before, so I learn it in everyday life here. Yes, the amiyah it is. The one that is not the original. No, I don't want that.
I WANT TO LEARN FUSHAH ARABIC.
So, I went to this arabic center to learn it properly. As usual, there was a test to indicates in which level we are.
There were lots of questions. I mean, REALLY loads of them. Some of them I could figure the answers out, while most of them I don't. Here are the last two questions that I've translated and I really want u guys to know about them (my bad, i'm just an amateur).
Question 1: what can u find in the market?
I thought it says: why does there are markets?
My answer: "li anna, ana uriidu firakh, lahmah, baidh, samakun, wa kullu haiwanaat al an'am"
(because, i want chicken, meat, eggs, fish, and all animal that can be eaten.)
Question 2: what can u find in the zoo?
As usual, I thought it says: why does there are zoos?
My answer: "lil syahadah al haiwanaat kathir qabla kullu hum maut"
(for witnessing many animals before they all die.)
[what i was trying to say is about their extinction..hoho~]
I'm sorry if I made your stomach went out from your body. This was surely the most memorable thing that happen in my life this year. Ouh, I need to go. I'm too tired.

when i woke up late..
Sitting by the couch
At the very last end
Looking at the people approach
Either grouping or one by one
I woke up late
That's why I didn't enter the 8 o'clock class
This is the character that i most hate
If continuously, how am I gonna pass?
I promised to myself that I will change
I promised to mom and dad I will do well
Against the past, this is a revenge
If the plan fails, in life I will be expelled
I'm doing medicine
The future that I always dream
I'm a very good looking
But that's not the aim
Smart and active, tough and hardworking
Those are what the docturah want to see
This enthusiasm is progressing
That's what I'm striving on,

But for me, I'm...
salamun 'alayk..
Welcome 2010, welcome 2oth year of me living on His earth. Praise be to Allah for His blessing to give me chances to correct things and upload my deeds.
Basically, I USED TO be impatient when it came to every new year. You know why? Because I USED TO love birthday party/surprise/presents/wishes..etc. SO MUCH!!
But just cut it off this year. The feeling ain't the same anymore.
Some people (usually the women), make their age so confidential and sometimes they are so sensitive if there is anyone asks about their actual age. (oh, this is really so-not-me,because if I am, the 1st paragraph is not what it is now...peace!)
And if asked to the other type of people, they would just answer the truth for some reason "I'm 36 now. And what's wrong with that? It's just a number."
What ever it is, people have their own personal thought on their age. And I believe it's different from each other.
But for me, I'm quite sad. Here are the causes :
#1 I'm getting older, but not maturer.
#2 I'm getting older, but still envying Siti Aisya bint Abu Bakar.
#3 I'm getting older, but I don't think my ibadah is equivalent to this 20 years of inhaling the free-of-charge-oxygen.
#4 I'm getting older, and there's no more the number 1 in front of my 2nd number of my age. There will always be suffix '-ty' in mentioning my age, e.g. twenTY one, thirTY, forTY two, until the rest of my life. Is it understood? I don't mind if you're don't. (my bad, because my English is not that good). I don't really like the age statement :(
#5 I'm getting older, and here comes the idea of getting married.
It's a pleasure for me to tell you a story that just happened a few hours ago.
I was having dinner with my ahli beit. There was only three of us; the elder sisters. Because the kids were having halaqah in another sisters' house. (We are growing sisters in islam, alhamdulillah). One of my sister here (Sis K) had just been celebrated for her 20th birthday on 21st January. Sanah helwah ya jameelah! While the other sister (Sis N) is going to be 21 somewhere around August (sorry sis i don't remember..hee~). While eating the superb rice with fish curry, suddenly Sis K asked Sis N :
"Sis N, as a person who had already in 20th-era, is it normal for us to start thinking of
marriage?"
I was like..speechless..
(oh there are lots of stories I wish to tell you!)
But my watch is jealous of me as it kept tick-tocking. It's 2.05 a.m. in the morning. I need to sleep. Get some rest. I have class tomorrow.
InsyaAllah I'll tell you the rest of the entry.

baba oh mama
salamun 'alayk
there are some things that are weird about the Egyptian. most of them think and talk according to their head ONLY. it's hard for them to accept others' opinion; and that leads to a hyper-quarrel a.k.a. fight. even for small matters. astaghfirullah al'aziim..
scene #1
it happened a couple weeks ago.
the bell rang. spying through the narrow hole there on the door (i don't know what it is called), oh, its baba. thought that if he wanted to add more stuff to our house (a tv maybe?). then my adik kecil here went to open that door. so here goes the story..
"this evening there will be a man who will set up the washing machine for you." said baba.
adik kecil looked at me and so did i. silence.
actually, we have done it by ourselves a night before. yes, we; the girls did it (proud for a sec..hoho). because baba promised to call the technician a day after the washing machine arrived, but no one turn out for the very next day. we had bundles of unwashed clothes for nearly a week. so i decided (as kapten of the team) to set it up by our own selves; thought that baba had forgot and won't mind if it ever happen. it worked well and we had our 1st wash without any prob.
but when baba found out, he was SO pissed off. standing by the door he said repeatedly,
"ghalat!! this is ghalat!! i told you to wait, sah??"
we both were stunned and had no idea to explain more. then he left with anger.
adik kecil was about to cry after she got scolded by baba.
and even more bad thing happened; a few minutes later, mama came and "attack" us.
"li maza?? di ghasallah gadid! antum amal eyh?? eyh di?? eyh di??!!" the thunder voice of mama broke the silence. imagine it happened for about 10 minutes.
she asked me to repacked the washing machine as same as its initial condition(watta?? how am i gonna do it since the box was spoiled due to the heavy weight of the machine and all the polestrine were cut into pieces?? ). and more unfortunately, she told us that they will take it back from us and won't supply anything more after this. nauzubillah..
they left and adik kecil ran into my bedroom. crying.
you know why? because mama and baba spoke totally in arabic and only this girl who understand well. therefore she felt the pain more than i did. pity her. it was my idea, really.
i tried to console her and decided to buy a new one with my money. sure, because it was totally my impatience idea.
a few seconds later, baba came again; with a man behind. well, farewell my fully automatic pink Toshiba. so long, pal.
but it happened in opposite way. that man (the technician) came to set up the machine; not to take it back to his stores. after done checking, he said that kullu kuwais, ma fish mushkillah.
so baba left the machine to us. alhamdulillah..thet're not mad at us anymore.
plus, my money was saved!

New house..new home!
Salamun 'alayk..
Alhamdulillah..after months praying, finally we found our new house. Actually it is an old house. It's neither too big nor too small, just nice. At the 3rd floor of the 8th imarah in this street (u have to ask me personally to know which one ^^). There are two bedrooms; the bigger one has 3 beds and the smaller one has two. Mine is the smaller bedroom. Just need a little privacy sometimes. It's a bit ugly from outside. Looks like a haunted, creepy ugly house..gagaga.. *biting nails*
Nevertheless. to describe the interior side of the house, here goes the credits. The paint is new. The mafrusyah are new. The red-black and brown-black carpets are new. Cool! And we have a new washing machine here. Toshiba. Pink. Fully automatic. Wow! What else do you want?
Basically in Hayy El Sabi', here in Cairo, it's hard to find an old house which undergoes pengislahan like that; for students and for this kinda low rental rate (compared to other houses in this building). Thanks to baba wa mama!
Oh ya, not forgotten to all my sisters in islam! Because they help us in our 1st day here; cleaning up the mess, bought foods and tiny2 stuffs, and rearrange the mahfrusyah and all. Syukran jazilan wa uhibbukuna fillah~
For those who wanna visit our new home, please do! We always ahlan all of our guests :)
farah's dictionary ~,~
imarah : building
mahfrusyah : furnitures
pengislahan : renovation/ renew
baba wa mama : father and mother (calling for the house owner)
syukran jazilan
wa uhibbukuna fillah : thank you so much and I love all of you because of Allah
ahlan : welcome
